El Jadida Beaches: Your Ultimate Getaway

El Jadida Beaches extend over a wide sandy area bordered by a marine park stretching from the Portuguese city to the north.

Continuing along the coast towards Azemmour, one passes Hawzyah Beach, which features a boat wreck on the shore.

Two tourist centers with golf courses are situated on this beach: the new Royal Golf Club and Mazagan Golf Club, adjacent to a modern resort

Sidi Bouzid

This wonderful beach is located in the south, on the coast road, and has become a classic and popular seaside resort.

There is a large offer of apartments and houses to rent for the summer.

Moulay Abdallah

This old fortified monastery from the 12th century, abandoned when the Portuguese arrived, is today a beach and a zaouïa where the most significant pilgrimage in the whole country is celebrated. Between 60,000 and 70,000 people attend in August, and 15,000 horses participate in parades and events.

Jorf Lasfar

17 km away, next to Cap Blanc, we find this small town called so because of the color of the rocks of the cliffs.

Previously, it was a fishing port; now, it is an industrial city with a very recent port. It is also the most extensive African port to export phosphates and a processing center for these minerals. Finally, to finish the list, it is also a phosphoric acid production center, a thermal power station, a small shipyard, and a fishing port, all of which have degraded its ancient and magnificent environment.

Sidi Abeb

The fishing town locates 27 km away, which benefits from a long virgin beach.

Sidi Moussa

Doukkala, an agricultural center 41 km away, is where we are. It is an area where people grow food for sale. There is a golden sand beach at the mouth of a small river. These lagoons continue to the south, forming salt pans and cultivation areas protected by reed beds.

To the north, the pretty beach of Sidi Belkhair forms a small bay.

The road to Safi follows the sea to the south before arriving at Oualidia. We can admire virgin beaches with golden sand like Mrizika,  M’hammed Taik, and Lamghasel,  next to coastal lagoons surrounded by cultivation areas.

Oualidia

It is a crucial beach center with a beautiful coastal lagoon 60 km from the capital. Cap Beddouza

At 90 km, we find a small village located on an essential geographical accident. The African coast takes a southerly direction. It has been known since Carthaginian times.

The lighthouse is on a high cliff.

El Haouzia beach, close to this locality and located 16 km from El Jadida, will be described in another article.

Continuing north on the coastal road, it is worth stopping at the marabout of Lala Aïcha Baharia, next to the mouth of the Oum Errabia river. This place offers magnificent views of the surrounding landscapes.

Consistently following this road, we find wild beaches for several kilometers. We can also admire the sanctuary of Sidi Moulay el Fedel. We are then in the region of Ouelja, where the cove of Bounaien stands out and, next to a forest, the luxurious residential complex Azembay.

These beaches are located near the agricultural village of Tnine Chtouka.

Bir Retma beach,  38 km away, is a small holiday center located at the mouth of a river, where Lahouira beach stretches. There are several recent subdivisions there.

The road continues along the coast to Casablanca. It passes through the tourist centers of  Sidi  Rahal, 45 km away, and Dar Bouazza, 55 km away.
